WE GIVE HORSES ANOTHER SHOT

That is our mission. We love them, listen to them, and help them find new purposes. For more than 15 years, we have been rehabilitating horses on our beautiful Hudson Valley farm. For horses no longer able to work, we provide much-needed retirement and unconditional love until the end of their lives. Despite the many challenges of this work, we find deep satisfaction in every success, big or small. But none of it is possible without donations from people who care about these horses as much as we do.

As of June 26, 2019 Red Horse Rescue is a 501(c)3 EIN84-2313381

Your donations help make it possible to give these horses a second chance.

THE FOUNDER, Cari SWANSON

Cari Swanson is everything horses. She rescues, trains, boards and rehabilitates them on her 63-acre farm near Amenia, northeast of Poughkeepsie. She also teaches riding, provides horses for films, television, videos and fashion shoots and coaches actors on how to look good in the saddle.

She has dedicated her life to rescue and train horses using kindness and intuition. The horse’s well-being and joyful attitude are the most important criteria for her. With a positive and creative teaching style drawn from several disciplines, a unique program is designed for individual rescues resulting in a happy and healthy combination to find each horse a second purpose.
